Causes of Settlement

Interested in learning what causes concrete to settle?  Select from the links in the blue area at the top of the page to see detailed diagrams of what causes different types of concrete to settle and how Concrete Jack's slabjacking process works to return concrete back to its original levels.  If you have settled concrete around your pool or inside your home, we have two websites specifically about those situations:  www.PoolDeckLeveling.com and www.SlabFloorLeveling.com

Wherever you are located, whether it be in the sandy soils of Virginia Beach and Norfolk, the clay soils of Newport News, Richmond and Fredericksburg or the rockier soils of Fairfax, Charlottesville, Harrisonburg, Alexandria and Arlington, the diagrams explain it all.  Though different soils certainly behave in their own individual ways, this merely causes some problems to be more pronounced in certain areas, however the causes are essentially the same and the concrete leveling/slabjacking/mudjacking is still used in the same method to correct similar settlement problems in different soils types.
